How to Troubleshoot Hue & Amazon Echo Plus

WITH a Phillips Hue Bridge

Amazon Echo Plus can’t find my lights

The bulbs need to be “factory new” when they can be find by Echo Plus – reset them with the dimmer switch or add them manual to the Amazon App with the HEX code.

I can’t ask Alexa Echo Plus to turn on my scenes

Please check if your bridge is connected to your Amazon Alexa – which is possible at HueLabs, you need a Philips Hue account for it.

My lights are shown as unreachable in the Amazon Alexa App

Can you still control the lights, even that they are shown as unreachable? Please try to turn them on/off.

I want to migrate my lights to the bridge, how do I do that?

Go to the Amazon Alexa App and you disable the light, this makes it ‘new’ so our Philips Hue App can find your lights. When the bridge/App can’t find your lights, you can add them manual with the 6 digit (HEX) code on the back of the bulb.

WITHOUT a Phillips Hue Bridge
